Dr. Peter HalldinDr. Peter Halldin received his Ph.D. in 2001 from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden. Dr. Halldin and Dr von Holst are the people behind the MIPS idea. The idea sprang from the research on head and neck injury biomechanics during his Ph.D. studies. Dr. Halldin was the CEO of the MIPS company from 2001?2008. Today he is the head of MIPS R&D and is still active at the Royal Institute of Technology in researching safety helmets and injury prevention on the head and neck. |

Dr. Hans von HolstDr. Hans von Holst is Professor of Neuronic Engineering, focusing on prevention of injury to persons, at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and works as a neurosurgeon at Karolinska Hospital, Stockholm. |

Dr. Svein KleivenDr. Svein Kleiven received his Ph.D. in Biomechanics in 2002 from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden. He also has a B.Sc. in Automotive Eng., and an M.Sc. in Mechanical Eng. Dr. Kleiven has been developing a detailed mathematical model of the human head and brain since 1998 and has given seven invited or keynote lectures and published more than 30 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals in the research field of head injury biomechanics. |
